Admission Process:
Sainik School Ghorakhal is a residential school for Boys and Girls. Admissions in the school are carried out once a year in April in class VI and IX only based on the merit list of the All-India Sainik Schools Entrance Examination (AISSEE). The Entrance examination is normally held on the first Sunday of January each year and the same is conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA). For appearing in the entrance examination advertisement is published by NTA and online registration forms are made available at their website issue.nta.nic.in September/October. A candidate appearing in the entrance exam should be in the age limit of 10 to 12 years for class VI and 13 to15 for class IX as of 31 March of the year in which admission is sought. 67%seats are reserved for Uttarakhand domicile candidates and the rest 33% seats are left for candidates other than Uttarakhand. These seats include category-wise reservations for SC 15%, ST 7.5%, OBC 27%, and Defence 25%. The annual fee of the school is approximately Rs 1.4 lakh including messing and all other incidental charges.
