Delhi Public School, Jodhpur started providing value education in 1998, when the long-cherished dream of Mr. Dinesh Chand Kothari, Pro-Vice Chairman, DPS Jodhpur, materialized in the form of a school. The motivational force behind this noble endeavor of Mr. Kothari was D. R. Mehta, the then Chairman, SEBI, who encouraged Mr. Kothari to open an educational institution for the children of Jodhpur to equip them to face the challenges of our ever-changing global world. The monumental task loomed largely and was to be achieved. At this juncture, the DPS Society, a pioneer of education, reached out and provided the propelling force, motivation, and guidance to Mr. D.C. Kothari, supporting him with everything that they could make it possible for him to realize his dream of establishing up the school. Thus, the school stands today: the dream child of Mr. D.C. Kothari, nurtured by the able guidance of the DPS Society.

Admission to Nursery and Prep will beon aFirst come – First Serve Basis. Admission to class1st onwards will be through a written Admission test. The selection of the candidates will depend upon the child’s performance in the Test / Interview and the availability of seats in the concerned class. Assessment of the admission child is also based on the following factors: – Academic readiness and motivation. – Social and emotional development. – The ability of the school to serve the needs of the child. The result date of the admission test & the last date for the submission of the fee will be specified at the time of the test/interview. Document’s Required AT THE TIME OF ADMISSION: – Photocopy of the ‘date of birth certificate’. – Evidence of studying in the present class. (Photocopy of half-yearly report card/mark sheet or photocopy of school ID Card). – Submission of the present class passing report card before joining the school. – Original Transfer Certificate from the previous school, affiliated with the All-India Board or a State Board of Education.

The Library in Senior Block Keeping in mind the middle classes are functional, where students feel thoroughly at ease as they browse through volumes on varied subjects. Apart from the reference work that the students often indulge in, they gladly await the days on which they visit this temple of knowledge to ease themselves by reading the extensive collections laid open before them. Infirmary To cope with any wayward situation the school has a well-equipped infirmary with trained staff to assist in any kind of emergency. Periodic check-ups are carried out under the supervision of highly qualified doctors. Auditorium A stage par excellence, inviting the developing artists to exhibit their talent in a well-defined auditorium with a capacity of accommodating more than 500 students, finds its place on the top floor of the Lab block. Equipped with a powerful light and sound system, it is a treat to witness the cultural filigree sitting in the chilly atmosphere of the auditorium. LAB BLOCK The Science Labs at the boarding school are well equipped and built to resolve the problems, enable the students to reach their conclusions, and help them in their learning process. Co-Curricular Activities PLAYGROUNDS Outdoor play can provide children with best opportunities to grow, learn, and develop. With our vast sprawling green grounds, the school playground provides a safe outdoor environment within the school that stimulates children to use their creative energy in generating good physical health and healthy interactions with one another. The school owns a lovely, green-carpeted cricket field, a football ground, a basketball court, a volleyball court, and a skating rink. Volleyball Courts Two volleyball courts of 18 x 9 mts each on the sprawling grounds of the school serve as the right platform for the students. Basketball Court The latest state-of-the-art basketball court lends the athletes a chance to tap into their inner potential and find their true calling. The two basketball courts adorn the games field of the school. The strong iron poles on both sides tempt the students to aim their goals high and hence they learn precision. Cricket Pitch Cricket is the first love of Indians the school hosts a 22 yards pitch for a sound exposure of students to this international game. It help catering to the concept of net practice; therefore, two net practice pitches find a place in the arena. Art Room Where words fail to describe, art speaks. Two art rooms light a fire in the hearts and minds of aspiring artists, igniting their creativity and inventiveness. Traditional and modern art styles are taught to the students. Music Room When words fail, music speaks – Shakespeare. With the same notion, a soulful space is provided in the form of two music rooms for the learners where they can express their individuality and interpret music through their emotions. They are made proficient in the various genres of music and made dexterous in the various musical instruments. Dance Room ‘‘Dance is a way to find yourself and lose yourself in dance at the same time. The students of senior block channel their energy in the various foot-tapping and soulful dance forms in the futuristic dance room, where they learn and imbibe the culture and tradition of different regions.
