About School:
The New Public School, a coed institution connected to the Board of Secondary Education, was founded in 1960. (CBSE). The New Public-School Society is run it.The New Public School’s history, which spans more than five decades, is a wonderful and exalted chapter. The Institution first appeared on Chandigarh’s educational map in 1960, when it had just 30 pupils enrolled in a rented premises. The school quickly established a presence in the city, which at the time was trying to develop and lacked suitable educational facilities.
Since the beginning of the school, the late S.H. Singh, the founding principal, had worked to build a facility that would demand dignity, inspire creative energy, and suggest qualitative richness. In 1970, the Chandigarh Administration finally saw the results of her efforts and allocated a five-acre area. In 1971, Shri. B.P. Bagchi, I.C.S., the then-Chief Commissioner of Chandigarh, lay the cornerstone for the construction of the school.
The goal of the school is to shape the personalities of the children so they can stand taller among the community of students via knowledge and character gained through the school’s motto of aspiration, inspiration, and labour.
