About School:
Beginning in 1990, the International Sahaja Public School welcomed twenty students from Australia, Europe, and India. Coeducational residential school International Sahaja Public School, Dharamsala, is associated with the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE), New Delhi. The school is located in Himachal Pradesh’s Kangra area, above Dharamsala, in the Himalayas’ lap. The pedagogical concept of the school is founded on the teachings of Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi, and students applying to the school must have previously grown up in the Sahaja Yoga tradition and be aware of the value of meditation. The school’s three main buildings were built over the years, and today it has almost 250 full-time residential students from 30 different nations.
The school has a well-stocked science lab, a 3000-book library, art and craft rooms, music and dance studios, and a computer centre with broadband internet connection. Each senior section class has access to the internet for one hour each week as an afternoon activity. On weekends, one video is often shown to juniors and one to seniors.
The sick room at the school is managed by a resident doctor who works full-time and by competent staff members. Children are transported to the Dharamshala hospital when necessary for treatment. Indian and continental cuisine are available in the school cafeteria.
Among the sporting amenities are a gym, a skating rink, a basketball court, a cricket field, and soccer fields.
