Stella Maris International Boarding School (SMIBS) was founded on June 1, 2004, at Koodaranhi, about 30 kilometers from Calicut, by Stella Maris Educational and Charitable Trust, to provide high-quality International Education to students from Koodaranhi and nearby villages at an affordable cost. It is recognized by the Kerala government and is affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in Delhi under the affiliation number CBSE/AFF/930860.
