St. Joseph Convent School was established on October 1895. It is the considered as the oldest school which has been sponsored by the Bishop of Poona and the Roman Catholic order of nuns known as the Daughters of the Cross

Aim Of The School The aim of the school are mentioned below- To build them intellectually, emotionally, spiritually, physically and psychologically strong. To encourage the students so that they can achieve academic excellence. To make a responsible citizen who respect their elders. To prepare them for the future challenges and who work for the welfare of the society. SUBJECTS OFFERED BY THE SCHOOL The school has divided subjects offered by the ICSE into three groups. They are mentioned below- Group I It includes subjects like English, History, Civics, Geography, and Indian languages. Group II They give option to choose any two subjects from Mathematics, Science, Computer Science, Environmental Science, Agricultural Science, Commercial Studies, Technical Drawing, A Modern Foreign Language, A Classical Language and Economics. Group III They give the option to choose any of the one subjects from the following- Commercial Applications, Computer Applications, Economic Applications, Art, Performing Art, Cookery, Fashion Designing, Home Science, Physical Education, Technical Drawing Application, Yoga and Environmental Applications. Facilities The school provides the following facilities to students- They have well-furnished computer labs which contains latest hardware and software. The science laboratory are well-equipped with latest pieces of equipments. They get the opportunity to learn their subject practically by performing it under the guidance of trained teachers. They have a spacious library which contains wide range of fiction and non-fiction books, encyclopedia, journals, magazines, comic books and newspaper. They have a spacious playground where students can play and stay fit by playing various games.
