GIRLS HOSTEL
Both boarding and day boarding female students are accepted into the academy. There is a reputable separate girls’ hostel for boarder girls. A trained House Mistress is in charge of the females. Girls are permitted to enrol in classes I through IX and XI. They adhere to the same schedule as the guys.
BAND
Every significant event at Anandpur Sahib is attended by the Academy’s School Band, which is routinely requested by the local government. Class XI and XII students in both genders are participants in the National Social Service Scheme.
ACADEMY LIBRARY
The Academy features a fully equipped computerised library with a modern design that covers all knowledge areas. We have subscriptions to all the major publications, including India Today, Time, Sports Star, Competition Success Review, Readers’ Digest, Economic Times, and The Hindustan Times, among others. The teachers urge the children to form good reading habits. Even on Sundays and on holidays, the library is open.
HOUSE SYSTEM
Three houses, BEAS, RAVI, and SUTLEJ, each named after a well-known river in Punjab, are formed from the students who are on the Academy Roll. A House Executive and a Matron who live in the same block as the House Master assist the House Master in overseeing each House. To help the House Masters, all other teachers are also a part of one of the Houses.
MEDICAL
We have a 20-bed, round-the-clock infirmary that is run by a medical officer with the help of a certified medical assistant. Any time it’s essential, experts are contacted. Annual medical reports are delivered to homes.
ACADEMY MESS
Boarders can have hygienic food from an Academy Mess that is totally modern, well-equipped, and staffed by qualified individuals. It contains a large dining room with 1,000 formal seats for special occasions. The teaching staff and students are given vegetarian and non-vegetarian options.
AUDITORIUM
The Academy features an air-conditioned auditorium with room for 600 people. This is utilised to celebrate all of the occasional functions held in the Academy .
THE ACADEMY MULTIPURPOSE OPERA HOUSE
The Academy is home to a multipurpose high-roof hall with a design that is evocative of the Sydney Opera House. There are 1000 seats available inside. It contains a basketball court, a badminton court, and tables for table tennis to ensure game play even inclement weather. A stage and green room are also available for cultural events. It has a fitness centre with a well-equipped gym for bodybuilding.
SWIMMING POOL
The Academy offers an indoor shooting range, table tennis, a gym, and a swimming pool with international standards.
OUR MOTTO
The Academy’s motto, “CHARDIKALA,” instills a spirit of energy, excitement, and vigour in its students. It cultivates the desire to reach new heights and to keep holding onto the top spots by serving as an example.
OUR AIM & OBJECTIVE
The school was founded to support the growth of leadership skills with a focus on discipline and character development among its pupils. The students are given extra coaching from the start of the session to help them prepare for entrance into the Armed Forces through the NDA.
Co-Curricular Activities
Co-curricular pursuits significantly contribute to students’ holistic personality development. According to CBSE standards, these activities are a part of the Academy curriculum. Co-curricular pursuits like music, art, electronics, horticulture, clay modelling, drawing, and painting are regularly conducted. To foster an adventurous spirit in the students, trekking and outings are often done. SPORTS COMPLEX
The Academy has a full-fledged sports complex with 16 well-maintained playing fields for a variety of sports, including basketball, volleyball, tennis, football, cricket, and athletics. The Academy contains a gymnasium, a full-fledged stadium, rubberized international grade tennis and badminton courts, and a 400-meter cinder track. Interschool sports have seen frequent participation from the Academy.
