The Sangam School of Excellence opened its doors on April 5, 2004, with classes ranging from Nursery to VI standard. It began with only 55 students as a day-boarding school for seniors (classes III-VI) and a primary school (i.e. Nursery to class II). Mrs. Mamta Bhargava, the school’s founder, was in charge of the senior section, while Headmistress Mrs. Wendy Shah was in charge of the toddlers and primary section.
Sangam Schools started as a residential school in 2008, with separate boys’ and girls’ hostels. In the first year, 41 students from various parts of the country arrived at the hostel. Another significant achievement of the year was CBSE affiliation for Senior Secondary (12th Class). At that, it was introduced in 3 streams—Science, Commerce, and Humanities.
