NCC Rayatians are accustomed to learning outside of the classroom. RIS thus joined the NCC wing in 2013 and is now a component of the 23 PB BN NCC Ropar. Junior Division (JD) places for boys and girls are reserved under NCC 100 Cadets. NCC students participate in a week-long camp every year where they are taught a variety of skills such as shooting, drills, cultural activities, personality development, etc. NSS RIS also oversees the NSS, which teaches students how to cultivate a feeling of social and civic responsibility within themselves.
