Mar Athanasius International School, Ernakulam

The school was established in 2008 and is the most recent project of Mar Athanasius College Association, a society that was established in 1953 and registered under the Educational, Scientific, and Charitable Societies Act. The Association is in charge of a number of prestigious colleges and universities, including the Mar Athanasius College, the M.A. College of Engineering, and the Mar Baselious College, all of which are housed on the 75-acre Mar Athanasius Mount campus in Kothamangalam. Prof. M. P. Varghese, a great visionary of our time whose dedication, commitment, tireless work, and prompt action have been largely responsible for the transformation. MAIS is a co-educational International School, nestled in an exclusive 10-acre plot, amidst the lush green countryside of Mar Athanasius Mount, Kothamangalam. Situated just outside the town, away from the din and clutter of city life, the air of the school campus is fresh, crisp, and free from pollution. Thus, the school provides a wonderful opportunity for “interactive learning” in a peaceful atmosphere.

MISSON & VISION The mission of MAIS is to make high-quality education accessible and inexpensive to the public in Kothamangalam, preparing today’s youth to meet the challenges of the twenty-first century and beyond. The school will work to support students’ academic success by bringing out their innate skills, talents, and abilities, fostering their full development into sensitive, compassionate, and self-aware individuals, and preparing them to be global citizens with a foundation in Indian culture and values.
