About School:
The founder of Gurukul Matindu, one of the nation’s oldest educational institutions, is Ch Peeru Singh, an Arya Samajee reformer and freedom fighter from the village of Matindu in the district of Sonipat, Haryana. The cornerstone for the structure was set on January 20, 1915, by renowned Arya Samajee educator Swami Shardanand. During the height of the liberation movement, Ch. Peeru Singh envisioned eradicating the social evils that plagued the rural population, elevating them through education, and producing freedom fighters who would be essential in freeing India from the British Raj.
This religious insight, foresight, and vision were able to be shared and encouraged by his younger brother, Ch. Shiv Karan. In 1915, they launched the modern Gurukul with a missionary zeal. The Gurukul continues on its journey of service to society and the nation by producing martyrs and civically active people who enhanced it. Over the years, the Gurukul has mostly provided charity initiatives in the field of education. The current Gurukul Matindu is progressive, modern, and inventive in its approach to keep up with global education. Currently, it is being closely watched over by Brig Satya Dev, the chairman of “Shiksha Parishad Gurukul Matindu.”
The Gurukul Senior Secondary School Matindu is the present name of this member of the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi. It provides a strong, vibrant, all-encompassing education and supports students’ intellectual, social, and cultural vigour. The school has some of the greatest facilities in the northern area.
