Green Valley Educational Institute was established in the year 1990. It’s a day-boarding school which was built with the belief to change the scenario of Kashmir. The person behind the establishment of the school was Mrs. M. Y. Wani whose dream was to build up an educational institute that can provide a good quality education. They believe to provide a healthy environment where students are build to be confident and they undergo training in certain skills so that they can face the different challenges of life. They believe in building well-disciplined student who can appreciate the beauty and can lead a happy life in future.

To provide a safe and caring environment along with personal growth. To make the students a responsible person so that they can become self- disciplined students. To discover the talents of the students so that they can achieve something in their lives. Curriculum Pre-Primary School- As its the sudden change in a child’s life as they have to leave their parents so as to discover a new life. Keeping that in mind, the school provides a warm environment where the children are developed emotionally, mentally, physically and intellectually. They teach them creative subjects like art and craft, clay, music, number work, projects, and games. They do not conduct any kind of examinations for the pre-primary students as they believe that it is their learning stage. Primary School- Student’s from class I to V come under primary section. They cover the area in English, Urdu, Maths, Social Science, General Science and Environmental Studies, Physical Education and Academic Education subjects. To improve their academic result, the school provides continuous assessment, projects to students and the regular examinations are conducted which is based on the grading system. Middle School- Student’s from class VI to VIII come under middle section. Special care and support are given to these students as it’s the time where school has to pay attention towards social, physical, intellectual and economic growth of students. The school offers subjects like English, Mathematics, Science, Social Science, Kashmiri, Urdu, Computer and Arabic language. High School- Student’s of class IX and X are recognized as high school students. They are paid more attention and are prepared for the Board Exams. Higher Secondary School- Student’s of class XI and XII are considered as the higher level students. Here, the school offers subjects like English, Science, Maths, Commerce, Political Science, Psychology, I.P., Economics, EVS, and Sociology to students. Along with their academic studies, they prepare students for various entrance exams like AIEEE, CET, BBA, BCA. Program The school pays attention towards the over-all personality development of the students so as to make them a good citizen. They provide activity-based learning and grooming facility. Students are prepared to be confident and creative from the nursery class onwards. They are well-trained in skills like self-discipline, and teamwork. School session The school is closed down during vacation periods i.e., for short-term during summers and for long-term during winters. Academic structure The school is affiliated to Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE). They accommodate students from class Nursery to XII. The school offers subjects like English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Maths, Environment, Psychology, Political Science etc. Academic features The school believes in creative learning as they provide facilities of CD’s, teaching charts, models, cassettes etc. through which students can understand their topics in a more clear way. Faculty members The school has well-trained teaching staff’s approximately 300 members. The teacher not only pay attention towards students during their periods but also during the assembly and other programs organized by the school. They also organize various workshops for teachers where they come across different teaching methods and techniques. They are also provided with the samples of presentations to support students in their studies.
