Gaurav Memorial International School is a co-ed boarding school in Kanpur. It was started in April 2003, in the sweet memory of the Late Mr. Gaurav Singh Katiyar, who was the coordinator (Vice-President) of the Kanpur Educational Development Society. He had a great love and affection for the children and was very enthusiastically working for imparting education to them without any distinction of caste and creed. Over the years this CBSE boarding school has witnessed in its students an unparalleled knowledge base, a vibrant dynamism, and an acute consciousness about the world around them. It has been fortunate enough to have an experienced and committed team that has brought the school to its present stature. E-CLASSROOM To improve classroom teaching effectiveness, the school has equipped all of its classrooms with digital support (whiteboard, projector, and supporting electronic system). Teachers use animation on classroom whiteboards to explain difficult aspects of the chapter while teaching. Concepts are more clear and more understandable for students this way. All classrooms are well-lit, tastefully decorated, spacious, digitally interactive, and outfitted with “Teach Next” multimedia learning solutions to make teaching-learning simple, interesting, and effective. LIBRARY The school’s Learning Zone is well-stocked with over 25000 books to help students develop good reading habits. LABORATORIES Language LabScience Lab Computer Lab Maths Lab S. St Lab OTHER AMENITIES Washrooms Hygienic, neat, and clean washrooms for boys and girls with continuous water supply. Water Purifier Separate washrooms for boys and girls that are sanitary, neat, and clean, with running water. Auditorium An aesthetically designed multipurpose auditorium for recreational activities, complete with art, sound, and light effects, is being planned and will be available soon. Parking Parking is available at the school for vehicles and buses. Dispensary or Infirmary The school is a firm believer in the adage “Health is Wealth.” To that end, the child is given the best care possible during school hours, and first aid is administered as needed. The school has a well-equipped infirmary for this purpose. The dispensary-in-charge is always ready to respond to any emergency in the care of sick children. Gardens To foster a love of nature and to protect the environment, the school has planted greenery throughout its beautiful gardens. On Green Day, children plant saplings and care for them throughout the year. Canteen The school has a canteen where snacks are prepared in a sanitary manner. SECURITY 1. C.C.T.V: – All classrooms, fields, and corridors are equipped with CCTV cameras, which aid in maintaining student discipline and security. 2. Guard: – A high level of security is maintained. No one from outside the school may enter without first going through the proper channels. There is no direct contact between visitors and school students or teachers. Boarding The school offers day boarding. Students who choose day boarding must remain at school until 4.40 p.m. After school, tutorial classes are held separately for each class. Day-boarders are also served breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Working parents will appreciate this facility. Vision A curriculum can specify what is expected to be learned as well as how the learning will be evaluated. However, if deficient processes exist, the curriculum cannot guarantee that needs and expectations will be met. As a result, we developed a strategic process for academics to function effectively and manage numerous linked activities, allowing the transformation of inputs into outputs. Support services for the teaching and learning process are provided to ensure the successful completion of their curricula and to the student, until he/she obtains his/her academic certificate.
