Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRS) are a Government of India initiative launched in 1997 to provide free quality residential education to Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Group (PVTG) students from Class VI to XII. The schools follow the CBSE curriculum and aim to ensure academic excellence along with the all-round development of tribal students. EMRS offers a holistic learning environment with modern educational facilities, residential accommodation, sports, cultural activities, and personality development programs. The initiative seeks to provide opportunities comparable to the best residential schools in the country and empower tribal communities through education.
