Delhi Public School (DPS), Udaipur, Rajasthan is a co-educational day cum boarding school in Rajasthan. It is established in the year 2007 by Mr. Govind Agarwal, Pro-Vice Chairman. The boarding school is affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi. DPS Udaipur has emerged as an institution of eminence, and it is a matter of great honour that it has been adjudged 9th place in India for best architecture and design and 3rd in Rajasthan as the top co-education cum boarding school by Education World Agency. The curriculum is enriched by a strong reading program, cultural exchange through different genres of dance and music, and computer programs beginning from kindergarten to class XII. School also recognize cultural, sports, and student leadership domains to be as mandatory as academics. Boarding House Facilities The school hostel is built to provide every facility for study, leisure, and enjoyment, which can add so much to the school days and later life. DPS Udaipur has on campus centrally air-cooled hostels (separate for boys & girls). Each room is shared by 4:2 students’ options. Common room with individual study tables and a reading table. A TV and a music system in the Common Room for recreation. Each floor of the hostel has resident staff that looks after the welfare of the students and makes sure that everything runs smoothly. It has world-class security and safety measures with fire sprinklers/ fire alarms, and smoke detectors The Dining Hall and Fitness Centre is within walking distance from the hostel. Modern hygienic kitchen for fresh, healthy, and nutritious cuisine. 24 hours CCTV surveillance. Hostel Activities Weekend activities include both on-campus and off-campus activities. Such Yoga, meditation, aerobics, jogging, and a variety of sports and games are all required for all Boarders. Clay modelling, musical nights, street plays, and other fun and educational activities are also planned. Meals & Dining Hall The Dining Hall is a two-story, centrally air-conditioned structure with seating for approximately 1000 students. It serves breakfast, brunch, lunch, snacks, and dinner. The cheerful and welcoming atmosphere is enhanced by the bright décor. It serves Indian, Chinese, Continental, and a variety of other cuisines. Juices and organically grown fruits and vegetables are also on the menu. The dining hall has cutting-edge technology, including separate hot and cold counters. Mechanical dishwashers and waste disposal systems ensure a sanitary experience. Parental Care The warden is the effective guardian caring for each small group of 30 boarding students. id S/he inspects the bedrooms and studies on a regular basis, and checks on the student’s diet, personal hygiene, skin and hair care, toiletries availability, and clothing condition. She works closely with the academic staff to ensure that students’ preparation and other academic work is of high quality. Most importantly, the wardens are responsible for the happiness and integration of students, as well as keeping in close contact with parents via email/letters or other means. Every student is looked after by a warden/tutor whose first priority is to get to know him or her as an individual with talents and interests that can be developed. Mentors DPS Udaipur has a full-time Rector and Wardens to ensure that all students’ needs are met at all levels. The Guidance Office has an OPEN-DOOR policy, which means that students are free to speak with the wardens or tutors whenever they need to. The wardens/tutors maintain complete confidentiality unless the student’s safety necessitates disclosure to authorities or parents.
