About School:
Canadian International School (CIS), which was established in 1996, provides children with a top-notch education from kindergarten through grade 12, helping them develop into well-rounded individuals with highly advanced tangible, interpersonal, and intellectual skills. We have students from more than 40 different countries, three internationally recognised curricula, and teachers with training and experience abroad. Our approach to teaching is student-centered, and teachers foster an environment that encourages active learning.
CIS Bangalore is the first IB DP school in Bangalore, the first 1:1 iPad academy in South India, the first school in India to run entirely on solar power, and most recently, we were recognised by Apple Inc. as the country’s first Apple Distinguished School for our innovative use of technology in the classroom.
Canadian International School opened its doors in 1996 with 6 teachers, 13 pupils, and 9 different nationalities. Since then, the school’s enrollment has gradually increased. Approximately 700 students from 37 different countries are enrolled at the institution right now. The student-teacher ratio at the school is regarded as remarkable, and the teachers come from roughly 27 different countries.
Elementary school pupils study according to the Cambridge Primary curriculum.
Middle School: The Contextual Learning programme is taught in addition to the Cambridge Secondary 1 curriculum in middle school. The CL activities link students with neighbourhood organisations to create joint initiatives that will positively impact the globe and the UN SDGs by 2020.
High school: Students in grades 9 and 10 enrol in the University of Cambridge International Examinations’ International General Certificate of Education programme. For grades 11 and 12, CIS provides the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program.
